Brett Amory.
Sutter St @ Taylor in San Francisco, Ca
We attended the opening for Kelly Tunstall and Ferris Plock at Spoke art Casey Gray at Hashimoto Contemporary on Sutter St in downtown San Francisco that we encourage you to see. As we walked into one gallery we noticed this fun little piece of art painted by Brett Amory when the gallery first opened. He has shown at Spoke Gallery and was a recent artist in resident at the De Young Museum. I posted a small portrait he did of me while he was there in January. . My contribution to Spoke Art's 15th anniversary show! It was loosely New York-themed so I went with something I know well (ninja turtles) and something I don’t know at all (professional sports). Lots of debate regarding which team each turtle would support but I went with the majority for each.
Anyway prints are all up now over at Spoke, along with a lot of really great work.
Tiny Band Practice!
This diorama is for Spoke Art Gallery's booth at San Diego Comic Con! If you’re checking out the con then they’re at booth 4919 (no idea where that might be). There’s also a super sneaky variant (as shown in this last GIF) and any extras will be available online after the con.
Big fan of Scott Pilgrim. So much so I really had trouble figuring out what to do. Landed on a smaller moment instead of one of the big ex battles and I’m really stoked with how this came out.
Happy Thursday!
Tonight!
Spoke Art’s Miyazaki Art Show opens tonight and I’ll have a few pieces there.
There will be four catbuses from around the woooooooorld and first up is London!
Lemme know if you go and snag a few pics and happy Friday!
Second international catbus!
This, the previous catbus, and two others, are still up at Spoke Art’s Miyazaki Art show.
Happy Monday!
The last of the international Catbuses for Spoke Art’s Ghibli Show!
This is a decorated Catbus from Pakistan!
Happy Tuesday!
Third of the international catbus series for Spoke Art’s ongoing MIyazaki art show!
This one isn’t currently in circulation as the green New York catbus was most popular in the mid century.
All four prints are now up at the Spoke Art shop if you’re so keen and happy Friday!
