                  It was typical day for Gabrielle to rush inside of her apartment with anger at the super for the heat not being on. It was freeze in the apartment since it was starting to get cold out. It didn't help that a friend was coming over her place. She had to go inside of her closets to get the portable heater to be able to heat up the room she spent the most time in. She had laid inside of one her blankets when there was a knock on the door. She rushed over to open the door. She moved her body over to the side to allow him inside of her apartment. “Excuse the fact that my apartment is cold. I don’t even think this heater will help.”  //   @spookylcvers

it was nearly the end of her shift when evie got called back from her short coffee break back to emergency room. she got told there was a kid with a broken arm and at that moment she was the only nurse with a pediatrician diploma that was free and could help. without any hesitation she downed what was left in her coffee cup and rushed to the er. but one thing she wasn’t prepared for - seeing worried joaquin holding the child’s hand. but she didn’t think much of it. the child was probably his sibling’s or something, so she just shrugged it off. at that moment helping the kid was more important. “hi,” she greeted him with a small smile. “can you tell me how this happened?” evie asked taking a seat by the table the kid was put on and ready to look at their arm.

     ximena didn’t know much about manners, nor did she care for them in the slightest, which was why she was totally comfortable opening up the folder that joaquin had brought home while he was in the bathroom. “so this is what keeps you away from me...” she’d mumbled to herself, beginning to read through police reports she only half understood, though the more she consumed the more she got what was going on. in fact, she understood so well she was considering burning the whole thing, leaning up and turning to look as he left the bathroom after his shower. “you’re going to quit this job.” she said decidedly, her finger still resting on a crime scene photo that had made it very clear to her. he was dealing with a demon, not some creative human. other demons near her love just wasn’t going to happen. at the very least she could protect him from that. “it’s too dangerous for you. humans should give up on solving crime. why don’t you do something else?” she tried to think of another job, but seemed to come up blank.

Ending up being a servant in a castle wasn’t something that Greyson had in mind that was for sure. He had figured that the prince who was now having to act as king had so much on his plate that he didn’t have time to hover over his servants. Though he was wrong considering the position he was in now. Greyson had neglected his chores that day and the guards were holding the male as they had his backside turned toward Miller. “I’m sorry sir it won’t happen again I’ll do what you tell me too I swear.” Greyson states as he tries to break free from the guards grasp. He doesn’t know why they’re even having him face this way and not look at Miller.

              when leonard had gotten the call from one of his collegues on the opposite shift of him telling him that his best friend, josh had been in a horrific car accident with his wife, he had a sinking feeling it wasn’t going to get up all fine and dandy come morning. by the time he’d gotten dressed and to the hospital, both joshua and his wife were gone, leaving behind their two-year-old daughter. he’d been trying to keep his cool, stay strong through it all as he went with the female's friend from the hospital to the police station and finally to his friends’ house where they were sitting with some lawyers talking to them about who was gonna take care of their little girl. “what?” leo spoke up in shock when the lawyer told them that they were the ones their friends had picked to be the legal guardian. he had assumed it would be one of their parents or some of their friends who were already married, not the two of them who couldn’t stand each other. as the lawyer packed up his things, telling them to talk about it and decide what they wanted to do, the male  just sat there, looking away from her."how could they not tell us about this?" he murmured under his breath, shaking his head as he pulled his full bottom lip between his teeth. "what are we going to do?"
