To start my app review series off I'm gonna start with one I'm sure none of us need an introduction to.

Spotify.

We definitely all use Spotify, especially those of us with Singer DRs. I know I do. I've got dozens of playlists for my various DRs, 11 alone are the albums I release in my own Singer DR.

Spotify has made a lot of changes that are kind of annoying, such as not being able to add the same song to a single playlist more than once unless you're on a computer. But overall the app is still very user friendly.

One of my personal favorite features currently is their 'mix' feature that's basically a fancier version of the crossfade setting that you can turn on or off for each individual playlist.

I use Spotify for background music while doing housecleaning, spell work, offline access to subliminals, and a lot of other areas in life. The only feature I don't really use is the audiobooks. I listen to those elsewhere.

Overall I'd give Spotify an 8/10 for how large a library it is of music and podcasts. However some features like the premium not taking their audiobook feature into account and the existence of the AI DJ make the score lower. Last I tried using it was pulling up songs based on my listening from like a month prior and not current song interests. As someone with ADHD I'd rather use the playlists I have to listen to EXACTLY what music I'm fixated on instead.
