I keep thinking about devotion in Mianite, and how we see it played out.
More devotion is rewarded: Tom’s gets him gifts, Jordan’s gets him love and support. It makes sense, right?
But Mianite himself doesn’t seem to fall quite into that line. Tucker’s devotion won him little, Sonja’s won her nothing. It was the two of them against the world, with Mianite watching on from above.
Yet we see, in Mianitian, how Mianite caters to Karl. He knows Karl is new to it all, knows he needs assistance. Karl does his best for Mianite, but Mianite does the most for Karl.
So then, could we say, that Mianite does not reward devotion, but rewards WITH devotion?
