Each of these books meant something different to me, but they all share that same thread I love most: devotion, longing, choosing each other again and again even when the world is dark, dangerous, or unkind.

I truly enjoy doing fanart of the books that stick with me. It’s my way of saying thank you to stories that kept me company, broke my heart a little, and put it back together in new shapes. Reading has always been a refuge for me, and turning those feelings into art feels like closing the circle.

Here’s to the stories we fall into, and the characters who never really leave us.

Maybe that made me selfish, but I wanted at least a façade of free will. All I was asking for was the freedom to fuck up my life the way I wanted to. My life wouldn't be perfect or heroic. There wouldn't be any songs written about me or great legends to commemorate my name. . . but the book of my life would be written by me, the pages filled with failures and successes, adventures and heartbreaks of my own device.
