A traveler discovers the benefits of getting there early.
I love the Greater DC area. The combination of outdoor activities, diverse food options and history makes it a destination that our family visits at least once per year. My husband was born in DC, attended Howard University for undergrad and still has many friends in the area. Washington DC has so much to offer families and though we visit constantly, we still haven’t scratched the surface on our list of things to do with kids in the Capital. Taking in The National Mall and monuments at night is one of my favorite family activities and this post about early mornings at DC’s Tidal Basis is making me want to plan another DC trip in order to experience that.
