This is the one part of special ed teaching I'm not looking forward to, AT ALL.

To be honest, a lot of parents are wonderful, especially special needs parents. If you treat them and their children with respect and just listen to them, you will have their undying loyalty. All of my other clients are amazing, I’m very lucky to have them. There’s always one, though. If you’re going to be working in a public situation, or even if you’re in a private situation and aren’t in a position to influence or make those judgment calls yourself, then I can imagine it will be frustrating. But you’ll always have great parents that will make it easier. 

That said, if I ever get my dream property (just need $150Kish for the deposit, meh, nothing to it), I would hire you in a heartbeat. Of course, that means you’d have to live on the shore and I’m not sure you’d wanna deal with all that. Damn tourists. LOL

Uhh. Gonna have to terminate a client tomorrow. That's always fun.

The swingset on the playground has a tower with a chalk board. I keep all the chalk in an old clear plastic tub.

One of the littlest sprogs is 20 months old and still hasn’t mastered the laws of gravity or momentum. He faceplants at least a dozen times a day.

Today he discovered his head fits perfectly in the chalk box. He’s been running around outside with this box on his head for most of the day. He hasn’t eaten mulch once and is extremely pleased with himself.

Oh god.

So, a thunderstorm just rolled in and made the sprogs really anxious. To calm them down, I used a tried and true tactic.

me: Do you know what thunder is? It’s just the clouds bumping butts. (note: the word butt is GUARANTEED to make them giggle, no matter how scared)

them: HAHAHAHAHAHAHA YOU SAID BUTT!

*thunder rumbles*

Smartypants Sprog: HEY! MORE BUTT THUNDER!

All Sprogs: *chants* BUTT THUNDER BUTT THUNDER BUTT THUNDER...

Haha! They are such goobers. I nearly fell over laughing the first time I told them it was going to snow because they ALL did the sad trombone thing ON CUE. Turkeys, all of 'em.

You should switch it up on them every once and a while. "Guess what?" "Chicken butt!" "No. Hamster butt." Keep 'em guessing.

Ha! I should do that. There's one that always says "You're funny Miss Michele" to which I always reply "Well you're funny looking!" so now if someone says he's being funny he says the same in reply. Hahahaha! I use my powers for good most of the time. MOST of the time.

The only time I wish any of these babies were mine is when they're doing something so ridiculously cute I wish I could post it on here. Just pretend I've posted a video of two little babies in a huge playpen standing and holding on to the edge of it, hopping like bunnies until they fall down giggling. SO. FREAKING. ADORABLE.
