Okay, stuff about Lokiday…
- I had originally intended to include a sub-plot where Jane has an estranged younger brother who Loki helps her reconnect with. I cut that out of the story because it didn’t really jive with what we know of Jane’s canon backstory (the idea was that her brother was someone her father had with another woman he left Jane’s mother for) and also because the story just felt too cluttered. So instead, Loki reunites her with a childhood friend.
- VERY early on, I toyed with the idea of including Hela, Fenrir, and Jormungandr as well.
- I got the idea for this story not so much from the movie Groundhog Day, but more from a fanfic I read that also featured two characters stuck in a time loop. It was from a different fandom, and it’s one of my favorite stories because it actually made me enjoy a ship I otherwise don’t like at all.
