thank you so much!! i think myunggi is such an interesting character!! he exists in so many layers and is almost a master manipulator. everyone in the games seems to have forgotten that the reason myunggi is there is because he tricked a bunch of people to invest in crypto currency. he literally manipulated a bunch of people on the internet to serve himself, to make money, and live with those riches afterwards. and people in the games have forgotten this because myunggi manipulates so so many of them. esp in sky squid game, he dances with his words so carefully throughout the game everyone thinks he's clever and it takes literally until the last second when he turns on the pact for them to realise that they've been played.
and what i think is so interesting about him is that myunggi understands the system and how to use it to best serve himself. he understands the games and the point of them. he understands that people need to die for him to get all of that money. and he understands this in the same way he understood that he has tp rob his fanbase in order to make millions. and that's what made him so good at using his words. even when he told junhee that he wants to build a life with her and the baby, it was literal bullshit. he just wanted the money. he was going to use junhee as a means to an ends, get her money and be done with it.
i truly don't think he would've sacrificed himself for his daughter. because to him, what would've been the point in doing that. and not even in a money hungry way but moreso in a selfish, why should i die kind of way. i think somewhere in the hide and seek game, myunggi lost himself to the machine making monsters out of men and he let namgyu chew on his common sense until he'd eaten it all. he feels barely any remorse at the act of killing hyunju and more to the fact that junhee is upset with him. truly lives to serve himself and no one else.
one thing i still need to give more thought to is why he let namgyu worm into his brain like that. this guy who has been harassing you for days, who literally tried to kill you, this asshole is who he listens to? and don't get me wrong i love namgyu with all my heart and soul but i wonder why myunggi suddenly heard sense in a man tripping balls.
