first kisses part two but it’s ships that deserve better

tddk’s first kiss is just midoriya and todoroki beating the shit out of each other during a sparring match and after it’s over, midoriya comes over to todoroki with a water bottle and a towel for his sweaty ass head. they plop down on a bench, midoriya talking enthusiastically about how proud he is of todoroki’s new move and how he himself can improve next time. meanwhile, todoroki beside him can’t stop staring at the water bottle, because it’s midoriya’s bottle that he had just been drinking out of, and he said he was proud and he’s so goddamn beautiful and— todoroki just leans over, kisses him square on the cheek while midoriya is still talking, then turns away to drink the rest of the water in the bottle. midoriya turns super red but he takes it with ease, and when they’re alone, he makes todoroki kiss him on the lips. “gently, please,” he says.

srii’s first kiss is a little awkward but oh so sweet. it’s iida going to uraraka for advice, mina, asui, even midoriya just trying to figure out how he should handle the way he feels toward sero. it's months of sero sharing oranges, manga, inside jokes with iida. it’s iida asking sero how he feels after a particularly brutal sparring practice with kaminari. it’s iida asking sero if he's eaten breakfast. it’s a culmination of small things, until iida hand picks sero a small bouquet of wildflowers from the courtyard and offering them to sero in the quiet secrecy of sero’s dorm room. it’s sero seeing them, staring, iida starting to blabber away about how he must’ve overstepped--before sero just vaults forward, takes iida’s face in his hands and kisses him firmly on the mouth. it’s iida pulling away, red as a tomato. “oh,” he says. “yeah, oh,” sero replies right back. “that’s... that was. yeah.” it's sero going, “tenya,” quietly, and iida wasting no more time.

ochamina’s (seriously what is their abbreviation? no idea) first kiss is a slow, slow burn too because neither of them realize the feeling is mutual? mina thought that ochako had feelings for asui, or even midoriya. meanwhile, ochako spent months putting space between them because she assumed mina and sero had a thing. or maybe mina and tetsutetsu. it happens after a dance or something, after mina spinning her across the dance floor and saving her a seat at a table. it’s them stumbling back to the dorms together, sweaty and laughing and leaning into each other. it’s ochako sitting on mina’s bathroom counter to watch her remove her makeup. its ochako getting her headband and being the one to put it on for her, tucking stray strands of pink hair away even though its not necessary. it’s giggling and secret telling and closing the distance without realizing. it’s getting close and staring too long until someone says, “can i  ...?” to this day ochako still isn’t sure if she was the one to say it or if it had been mina. either way, mina is the one to kiss her first, smiling that sweet smile of hers and flooding all of ochako’s senses.
