“Are you kidding me?!” Chuuya exclaimed, having opened his Christmas gift from Dazai. “Is this a sweater? No, wait – an ugly Christmas sweater? Seriously?!”
“I wouldn’t say it’s ugly,” replied the brunette, grinning innocently. “I think it’s cute and would look even cuter on you~”
“Shut up!” The redhead barked, but blushed despite himself. He lifted the sweater out of the box gingerly, as if the thing was contaminated. Dazai seemed to think that just because they were dating now, he was allowed to gift his mafioso boyfriend something as cringy as a Christmas sweater…
“Hold up... are these…?” Chuuya started, squinting at the characters scattered through the festive vomit of red, green, glitter and candy canes. “…dogs?!” His eyes sparkled with barely suppressed delight. Though they were cartoonish, he could make out their thick fur and curly tails and recognized them as…“Shiba Inu?!” Ugly or no, the dogs on this sweater were a nice touch, considering Chuuya’s fondness of them. Maybe he shouldn’t have reacted so negatively over such an obviously thoughtful gift…
Dazai chuckled, “nope! They’re Chihuahua–OOF!” And fell back against the arm of the couch, interrupted by the sweater making contact with his stupid face.
“Are you insulting me, asshole?!”
“Huh?” Dazai rubbed his forehead. “No! Of course not!” He lifted up the sweater. “I thought you liked Chihuahuas, besides, look–!” He pointed to a specific pup on a sleeve, “this one has a hat! Just like yours~ And then this one…” His finger moved to a puffy red-furred Chihuahua near the bottom hem, “it has the color of your hair!”
Chuuya covered his face with a hand and grumbled a barely audible: “I hate you so much…”
Dazai snickered, obviously enjoying the redhead’s reaction. “C’mon, put it on!” He tossed it in such a way that it landed atop his boyfriend’s head, covering it completely.
Chuuya ripped off the sweater in a flurry of unintelligible curses and flailing arms, “fuck no! You couldn’t pay me enough to wear this thing!”
“Oh please, Chibi~?” Dazai asked, leaning forward with his hands clasped together and wearing the sweetest look he could conjure. “Just for tonight? Pleeeeeeese?”
Chuuya’s blush darkened, not only because he found Dazai's face adorable in this moment but because the bastard was pleading… The agency detective knew exactly what he was doing and the Port Mafia executive both loved and hated it.
“F-Fine!” The mafioso finally snapped, slipping off his coat roughly and throwing it aside while the detective sat back and watched with a big smile.
Once the sweater was pulled on, Chuuya’s mumbled curses ceased. “Woah…” He stood up from the couch and made for the mirror hanging in the hallway of his apartment. “This is actually really comfortable.”
Dazai clapped his hands once, “I knew you’d like it!” Then hopped up and wrapped his arms around Chuuya from behind, giggling. “Aw! You’re so cute! And so soft~”
Chuuya tensed for only a moment before he relaxed in Dazai’s embrace. It was still strange for him, letting his guard down like this, letting this man, of all people, make him feel… safe.
“I-I never said I liked it,” Chuuya argued, feeling the temperature rise in his cheeks.
“But you never said you didn’t~” Dazai sang, resting his chin on Chuuya’s head, forcing the latter to sigh in resignation.
“Hmm…” Dazai hummed, titling his head at the mirror.
Chuuya growled, “what now?”
“It’s strange…” The detective removed an arm from around Chuuya. “I need to test something.”
“Test what, ass—HEE!” Chuuya jumped, derailed by a poke from Dazai on his belly, right where a dog with a candy cane in its mouth sat on his sweater. “What the hell?! Careful, idioIHIHI!” Again, the brunette poked, but this time on a dog wearing a Santa hat on the side of the sweater.
Dazai nodded once, “mhmhmhm… just as I suspected.”
Chuuya tried to smack the detective’s poking hand away, “suspected what?!”
Dazai whispered into Chuuya’s ear, “there’s a Chihuahua conveniently placed on allllllll of your ticklish spots~”
The mafioso went rigid. He stared right at his smirking boyfriend in the mirror and knew he was absolutely fucked.
“Damn you…” Chuuya said through gritted teeth. “Don’t you daAHAHARE–!” But it was too late, Dazai’s fingers were digging into either of Chuuya’s sides, right over two festive Chihuahuas. “D-DAHAHAZAI!” His hands clamped down onto his attacker’s. “FAHAHAHAHCK!”
“Oh, I dare,” Dazai smirked, slipping his hands easily away from Chuuya’s to scribble at the dogs on his ribcage next.
The redhead shrieked and fell back against him, flushed from neck to ears. “CUHUHUT IHIHIT OHOHOHOUT!”
“Tickle, tickle Chuuya~” Dazai’s hands started to alternate kneading and poking across all the Chihuahuas on the sweater, deftly thwarting any of Chuuya’s attempts to shove them away and so reducing the man to a cackling, blushing, squirming mess in his arms.
The mafioso found himself not only flustered beyond what he thought was possible but confused as to how this could still tickle so much while wearing this damn sweater! “I’M GOHOHOHOING TO KIHIHIHILL YOUHUHUHU!”
“Promise~?” Dazai kneaded into a spot just under one of Chuuya’s shoulder blades and when the redhead squealed, he giggled, “oh~ I forgot about this spot, thank you for reminding me, Chihuahua-san!”
“AGH! SHIHIHIT!” Chuuya could feel his knees start to weaken. “B-BAHAHASTARD! EHEHEHE! STAAHAHAP!”
“Almost done! I think there’s one more puppy~” Dazai’s eyes flashed with pure mischief when he spotted the last two dogs at the bottom of the sweater, just above Chuuya’s hips. “Aaaaaand–“ After drawing out the anticipation as long as he could, his hands flew to the spots and squeezed repeatedly. “Found them! Tickletickletickletickletickle!”
“AYIEEE!” Chuuya absolutely squealed as his knees finally gave out and Dazai followed him gradually to the carpet as to not let him collapse completely, teasing and tickling all the way.
A few more tickles later and then the detective finally released the mafioso from his tickly exploration…
“What a helpful sweater!” Dazai remarked while grinning, gently rubbing a giggly Chuuya’s back while he recovered. “I think I even found a new tickle spot or two~”
Chuuya sat up, his entire face still red, and tried to weakly shove Dazai away. “Ugh, you jackass… You bought this for me specifically so you could assault me like this!”
“I bought it because I like you, moron.” Dazai bumped his forehead against Chuuya’s. “Oh. And they are Shiba Inu actually, hehe,” he added with a wink.
Chuuya was too shocked by that statement to do anything but let out an exasperated growl, “God damn it, why are you like this?”
Dazai leaned into Chuuya, “because you like it when I keep you on your toes.”
“Ugh…” The redhead leaned further into the brunette and replied quietly, too tired to do much else, “yeah, yeah, whatever.”
Dazai smiled and touched his nose to Chuuya’s, “Merry Christmas, Chibi.”
Chuuya’s eyes met his and he returned the smile with a small one of his own, “Merry Christmas, asshole.”

The Baxter Building hummed with the quiet energy of a late afternoon, that kind where the team could almost pretend they were just a group of friends hanging out… if it weren’t for the half-assembled Fantasti-Car in the corner and the occasional beep from H.E.R.B.I.E.
Reed Richards was hunched over a holographic schematic, fingers steepled as he muttered to himself about “subatomic alignment tolerances,” whatever the hell that meant. Johnny Storm, sprawled across a nearby couch, tossed a baseball from hand to hand, clearly bored out of his mind. Ben Grimm leaned against a workbench, arms crossed, gazing out the window and smiling.
“Y’know,” Ben said, voice rough as rocks but amused, “I was thinkin’ ‘bout the other day. When H.E.R.B.I.E. was takin’ your measurements for that new suit, Stretch.”
Reed didn’t look up. “Hm? What about it?”
Johnny perked up, sitting upright. “Yeah, what about it?”
Ben chuckled and lowered his voice so Reed wouldn’t hear. “Dude was squirming like a worm on a hot plate.” He mimicked Reed’s precise tone, deepening his voice. “‘H.E.R.B.I.E., adjust the calipers- n-no not, nohot there, there!’” Ben shook his head. “Funniest thing.”
Johnny’s eyes lit up, as if some sort of fire had been lit in him. He turned to Reed, who was adjusting his tools with a little too much focus. “Wait… Reed’s ticklish?” he whispered to Ben.
Reed’s fingers twitched. “What are you two whispering about?”
Ben stifled a laugh. “Oh, he’s definitely ticklish,” he whispered back.
Johnny grinned, the baseball forgotten on the couch beside him. “No way! Reed Richards? Mister Portal Tech, Mister Spaceship? Ticklish?” He stood up, rubbing his hands together, keeping his voice low. “This I gotta see.”
Reed finally glanced over, one eyebrow raised, catching the last bit. “The suit? It’s fine craftsmanship. Yours is still being made; we need to find something that won’t set itself on fire.”
Johnny grinned at his misreading of the situation as he sauntered toward the Fantasti-Car. “Yeah, it looks really high-quality. Lemme take a closer look.”
Ben folded his arms, grinning as he whispered some final advice: “Go for the sides first. Guy’s got miles to work with.”
Reed was elbow-deep in the Fantasti-Car’s innards, fine-tuning the quantum flux stabilizer… or whatever it was called this week. Johnny leaned against the vehicle’s sleek frame, arms crossed, pretending to study the schematics floating above Reed’s wrist display.
“Y’know, Reed,” Johnny said, injecting just the right amount of concern into his voice, “I’ve been thinkin’!”
Reed didn’t look up. “That’s always a very dangerous habit for you, Johnny.”
“Ha, ha, ha, shut up, Reed. Seriously.” Johnny got down on a knee and pointed at the car’s underbelly. “What if there’s, like, a micro-fracture in the… stabilizer matrix? Something deep inside the components?”
That got Reed’s attention. He straightened, frowning, eyebrows furrowed. “A micro-fracture? That could cause a series of cascading failures in the-”
“Yes, yeah, exactly!” Johnny interrupted, nodding eagerly. “And, I mean, you’re the only one who can reach the damn thing, right, Spandex?”
Reed hesitated, but only for a second. His curiosity always, always won, an easily exploitable quality of his. With a sigh, he stretched his arms, fingers elongating as they snaked into the car’s access panel, feeling around as they navigated the bowels of the flying automobile. “I suppose it’s worth checking.”
Johnny watched, barely able to contain his smirk, as Reed’s arms disappeared up to the elbows. “Yeah, but you gotta reeeally reach in there, like, all the way.”
Reed obliged, extending his arms further, his torso leaning into the car. Johnny waited until Reed was fully committed… then, in one swift motion, he slammed the access panel shut with a CLANG!.
Reed’s arms were trapped. His head snapped up, eyes squinted. “Johnny, what are you-?”
Johnny’s grin was all teeth. “Just makin’ sure you don’t miss anything, Stretch.”
Reed yanked at his arms, but the panel held fast. If it weren’t keeping him trapped there, he would have applauded its engineering. “Johnny, this isn’t funny. Release me immediately.”
Ben, who’d been silently enjoying the scene, finally spoke up. “Oh, I dunno, I think it’s pretty funny.”
Johnny cracked his knuckles. “Alrighty, Reed. Let’s see how ticklish you really are.”
Reed’s eyes narrowed as Johnny’s fingers hovered near his sides. “J-Johnny, I swear-!”
The first touch was light, almost experimental, just the tips of Johnny’s fingers brushing against Reed’s side. Reed jerked as if he’d been electrocuted. A sound escaped him, something between a gasp and a choked laugh. His arms, still trapped in the Fantasti-Car’s panel, flailed uselessly. “T-Thahat was… That was nothing!”
Johnny’s grin widened. “Oh, I wouldn’t be so sure! It sounded like something!” He did it again, this time with a little more pressure, his fingers wiggling in quick, playful bursts. Reed’s breath hitched. His shoulders tensed, then shook as the laughter bubbled up, involuntary and bright. It was a sound so rare that even Ben blinked in surprise.
“H-haAHahha!! J-JoHohOHonny, stoohOHop-!!” Reed’s voice was strained, but the laughter kept coming, escaping in short, breathless bursts. He tried to stretch his arms free, but the panel held firm. His legs kicked out reflexively, boots scuffing against the floor.
Johnny didn’t let up. “C’mon, Stretch, laugh a little~! You’re wound tighter than the lid of a pickle jar.” He shifted his target, fingers dancing up Reed’s torso, then back down his sides. Reed’s laughter grew louder, more desperate, his usual composure shattered. He twisted, his body contorting in ways only he could manage, but there was simply no escaping Johnny’s relentless assault.
Ben, leaning against the workbench, rested his cobbled chin in his hand with a satisfied smirk. “Never thought I’d see the day. Reed Richards, giggling like a kid.”
Reed’s face flushed. “U-UhUHUnSciHIHiEnTiHihihifiHic!! UhuhundiHihignIihifiHihed!!” He gasped, his words punctuated by laughter as Johnny found a particularly sensitive spot. His arms flailed, stretching and retracting in vain, as if his body couldn’t decide whether to fight or surrender.
Johnny’s fingers paused just long enough for Reed to take a shuddering breath… then he struck again, this time aiming for the spot just below Reed’s ribs. Reed’s laughter exploded out of him, rich and unfiltered, his usual stoic facade crumbling. Johnny couldn’t help but laugh along with him, the sound infectious.
Reed’s legs kicked again, this time catching Johnny off guard and sending him stumbling back onto his rear. “Alrihihight, alright!” Johnny held up his hands, still grinning. “Truce, for now.”
Reed glared at him, chest heaving as he tried to catch his breath. “J-Johohohnny, I’m gohoing to-”
Johnny cut him off. “Sure, yes, payback and all that. Save it. You’re laughing, and that’s final.” He reached for Reed’s foot.
Reed didn’t see it coming.
One second, he was glaring at Johnny, still trying to regain his composure. The next, Johnny had grabbed his boot and yanked it off with surprising ease. “W-woah, woah-!” Reed’s protest died in his throat as Johnny’s fingers pressed firmly into the arch of his sock-clad foot.
Reed’s other foot kicked out instinctively, following a parabolic path as it wound around to kick Johnny, but Johnny was ready. He dodged, then grabbed that foot too, pulling the other boot free and pressing his thumbs into the sole. Reed’s laughter returned with a vengeance, louder and more helpless than before. His arms, still trapped, thrashed as he tried to pull away. “T-ThahAHT’s ENoUHUHUGH!!”
Johnny didn’t stop. He alternated between Reed’s feet, his fingers digging in just enough to send Reed into another fit of giggles. Reed’s toes curled, his legs twitching as he tried to escape.
Ben chuckled. “Told you! He’s got laughter like a comedy club!”
Reed’s laughter filled the lab, a sound so unfamiliar it made the other two pause. Forget that polite chuckle Reed saved for dinner parties with heads of state; this was full-bodied, unguarded, the kind of laughter that shook his shoulders and left him breathless. Johnny watched, grinning as if he’d just won the lottery, as Reed’s usual composure melted away. For once, Reed wasn’t the unflappable leader or the detached scientist. He was just… a guy, doubled over and gasping for air.
Johnny eased off, leaning back against the Fantasti-Car with a satisfied sigh. “See?” he teased, opening the access panel, “You can loosen up.”
Reed wiped at his eyes, still giggling as he caught his breath. His arms, finally freed from the panel, retracted with a tired stretch. “T-Thahat wahahs… uhuhunnehecessary,” he managed, but there was no real bite to his words. His face was flushed, his expression softer than Johnny had seen in weeks.
But before Johnny could react, Reed reached out, his arm stretching toward the nearby workbench. His fingers wrapped around a fire extinguisher, and with a flick of his wrist, he sprayed a thick stream of foam directly at Johnny.
“Flame off!” Reed yelled, a playful tone in his voice that almost never came out.
Johnny yelped, stumbling back as the foam splattered across his chest and face. “Oh, youhuhu asshole!!!” He wiped at his eyes, blinking through the suds. “Dammit, that’s cold!”
Ben burst out laughing, pounding the workbench with a strength he hadn’t yet grown used to having. “Ihihi lohove my job!”
Reed crossed his arms, looking entirely too pleased with himself. “Consider it even, Johnny.”
Johnny stood there, dripping foam, his hair sticking up in every direction. He tried glaring at Reed, but the effect was ruined by the grin tugging at his lips. “Alright, truce. For now.”
Reed nodded, his expression smug. “Uncharacteristically wise of you.”
The lab door slid open, and Sue walked in, taking in the scene with raised eyebrows. Johnny, still covered in foam, Reed draped over the floor, and Ben wheezing with laughter. “What is this, a frat house?” she said dryly, raising her hands in the air with resigned but fond frustration. “I leave for one diplomatic meeting…”
Johnny wiped a glob of foam from his cheek. “Okay, Sue, in my defense, this was science.”
Sue sighed, a smile playing at her lips. “I don’t even want to know. Get this mess cleaned up.”
“Oh, or else what,” Johnny began.
Sue groaned. “Don’t-”
“-you’ll sue me?” Johnny finished.
The room was silent as everyone let Johnny’s joke hang in the air with no satisfaction.
“...And Ben, be sure to clobber my brother,” Sue said, turning back toward the door.
As the door slid shut behind her, Johnny lunged for Ben, shouting, “NOT IF I GET HIM FIRST-!!” eliciting a startled yell from Ben. As Reed watched them run off, a rare smile lingering on his lips, he felt like this lab was for more than endless experiments and addressing looming threats… it kinda felt like a home.
happy holidays @thebardnemo !! i'm writing your gift this year! i hope you enjoy this and i wish you the nicest most lovely new year ever! i havent written for BG3 in awhile, but nonetheless i hope you like it <3 (additionally, so sorry for the wait!)
Tav's feet were numb from the sheer cold of the windy night. Hells, his entire body was numb at this point. Normally, his thick boots and gear were able to keep him warm enough, but after the rainstorm today... Well, his boots weren't wearable anymore and his while his clothing was mostly dry, they still felt cold to the touch.
The warmth from the campfire wasn't enough to keep him warm tonight. The air seemed to bite harder than the night before; he could still feel the dampness of his pants from the pouring rain. He teeth clinked together as the night only got colder.
Through the sound of the wind, Tav heard Shadowheart approach behind him. She laid next to him, and he melted into her as her body heat sent a shock-wave through his cold body. Shadowheart huffed a laugh and yawned, "Cold?"
Tav scoffed but still pushed himself into Shadowheart to try and steal more of her body heat, "Only a bit." He replied sarcastically through almost chattering teeth. He added, "How are you so fucking warm?"
She snorted in respons3, "Magic, probably." He could hear her smile through her words. She wrapped her arm around his stomach and rubbed her palm in circles, "Would you like me to keep warm too?"
Tav melted into the tickly sensation. Goosebumps riddled his arms and back. For the first time since laying down, he shivered from something other than the cold, "Please do."
Tav could feel himself drifting to sleep; Shadowheart was warm, her nails mindlessly tickling his stomach was heavenly, and he could the wind blow the smell of smoke towards him.
There was one issue, though.
Shadowheart shifted her weight and focused her nails on Tav's sides. The tickling still felt wonderful, but the higher up his sides she went, the less Tav could hold back an outward reaction. Each time he grew used to the sensation she would move somewhere until Tav couldn't hold it back anymore. He snorted against his shoulder in an attempt to cover up the sound.
"Are you okay, Tav?" Her words sounded sincere, but Tav knew enough about her to know that she was grinning as she asked her question.
"I'm fihine."
Shadowheart hummed in affirmation, but didn't acknowledge the snort. She simply spidered her nails more intentionally.
As unbearable as it felt, he couldn't deny that he was starting to warm up... He would even goes as far to say that he was having fun with Shadowheart, even if it was a bit flustering.
"Cohohohme ohohn!" Tav giggled at a higher pitch as Shadowheart squeezed his sides. The sensation was unbearable, but he couldn't bear to push her away. Rather than trying to escape her hands, he curled into himself.
Shadowheart laughed with him before slowing her tickling to firm rubbing to rid Tav of the ticklish sensation. She kissed the back of his ear and held back a snort when Tav flinched away with a giggle, "Sleep, Tav..."
Tav turned to face Shadowheart, "You first."
She rolled her eyes and fluttered her fingers against his neck. Tav yelled out an apology through his titters before cuddling in closer, "Sleep well."
The night got colder, but Shadowheart was enough to keep him warm until the sun rose.
