I was a little disappointed with their draft choices. Then Nate Freese was such a colossal fuck-up and they struggled and I was like “welp, this is going to be same old Lions”; but same old Lions actually did shit and this is heartbreaking bullshit!

I didn't let go of the SOL stuff until the second to last game of the season. It's a hard habit to break. 

When they got to 6-2 I was like "NEVER FORGET 2007, I'M NOT LETTING THEM SUCK ME IN NOW!" then they won their next game and I was like "Welp fully on the bandwagon now!"

I do the same thing. Every year “don’t get your hopes up” and every year, I’m back in silver and blue and frustrated at them losing. It’s like that thing where you’re not a real fan unless you hate them, lol.

i think i actually literally said, "you're not gonna get me this year, lions!" oops. :(

it was kind of cool to see my super cynical dad excited about them again after ranting that they hadn't been good for most of his life outside of the early '90s, though.
