• Donna Hewitt (Sydney) - Wearable Micro Controllers and Emic
• City & Sea (Wollongong) - Blissful electronic three piece
We've got plans to bring you a number of shows this year that push the boundaries of music making and wearable tech expression. This concert features artists who are developing new means of AV performance via the design of wearable instrumentation.

St Vito - (Sensor Technology Visual Interactive Touch Orchestra) is a project fusing contemporary dance and music with unique wearable technology. Fresh from their debut performance during Berlin Fashion Week for the Telekom Fashion Fusion program in Berlin. St Vito are now on tour in Australia. There performances focus on the interplay between analogue, soft bodies and the digital world, where dancers are buffeted by currents of technological power; trapped by its omnipresent and dehumanising influence. Light patterns ripple through the dancers’ bodies, responding to their movements and interactions.
For this happening Alma will explore the interrelation between sound, wearable visuals, and touch sensors. She wears a networked “screen suit” whose animation textures are affected by her movements, creating a positive feedback loop. She dances in concert with a live light animator, who processes the visual and acoustic input using custom software, and produces a visual performance over her body.

She is the inventor of the eMic, a sensor enhanced microphone stand for electronic music performance and more recently has been creating wearable electronics for controlling both sound and lighting in performance. Her work has attracted funding from the Australia Council for the Arts, most recently with all female collective Lady Electronica. Donna has held academic positions at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and Queensland University of Technology and is currently the Convenor of Music at the University of New England.
