SUNDAY MATINEE MUSIC VIDEO: “All Things Are Possible” …to those who believe*… On this one I went into a dance-techno groove, with words about rising above adversity and naysayers. One night I heard St. Etienne, a London-based group that combines retro-soul and Europop with dance club culture. Their song “Nothing Can Stop Us Now” inspired me to write “All Things Are Possible.” I imagined if Donna Summer sang a Star Trek soundtrack with Weather Report as the backing band + Brian Auger on organ solo. The steller vocal improvs are by gospel singer Monette Newsuan.
