Hello! this is @dr4wmaterial's casual analog art blog. I don't think the quality of these is up to snuff with my digital stuff especially since analog is only fun rather than professional work for me. I like to experiment with mostly dry/marker medium and different paper types so I hope you learn something here too! And yes, my dslr I use to take pics has a lot of dust and shit 😔
My art materials and swatches below cut:

the staedtler brush one is the best of this bunch
i gotta find a better one tho…
Time for the the #Squidtember art prompts!!! This week we’re celebrating the strawberry squid. Strawberry squid are a deep sea squid that are cool for so many reasons. They are covered in tiny light-producing photophores that look like strawberry seeds. One of the coolest things about them is their mismatched eyes 👀 the small eye is for seeing bioluminescence nearby and the big yellow-green eye is for seeing the very faint silhouettes of animals swimming above! They’re the best.
Thank you to OceanX for organizing art prompts! Love this!
I drew this in black and white in my sketchbook then colored in procreate.
Here's the black and white version:
Staedtler is running a contest with the theme "inspired by nature" and that's my entry.
When I think of the theme "inspired by nature" I think about birds, these little creatures are the ones who spire me the most. My favorite species are swallowbirds. Whenever I see them in the sky I can't help but smile. I love the way they dance in the winds of the sunset, as if bringing a night of good dreams, and fly in the morning sky with promisses of a new beautiful day.
I wanted to try out these fine tip pens I had from last year. Decided to try a different colouring method and I really like how it looks.
