i think i was a little too unhinged when i had my stagegay episode, but "I will HAPPILY call Blueboy the earliest recorded instance of stagegay because quite literally nobody is going to argue with me." caught my eye as a moment of just joy and having fun and being in my own world. sorry well that's just sort of a depressing to phrase my affection towards that sentence cuz it reveals how sad bored unconfident and fixated on social connections i've been lately :P

btw, past me was (probably) wrong because Andy Bell kissed Boy George in protest of Section 28 in 1989. I've never seen a date to the Blueboy story but it's extremely extremely unlikely it happened before that.

Oh not that anyone else is interested. But I did find that Boy George did a bit of stagegay to protest Section 28 at some music awards. So Blueboy isn't the first. Please hit me up if you have more.
