his first entrance would be sort of stupid

like, the lightbulbs all burst but nobody shows up

and he pokes his head around the door and goes, 'was that my cue? I think that was my cue'

he flirts with the winchesters constantly

and is already pretty much rebelling from god

(Actually, cas was supposed to raise dean and be their guide)

(but gabe went, HEY LOOK OVER THERE)

(and now gabe is in charge)

so the other angels have to be nicer or else gabe'll tell them that god says to kill angels now or something

like, nobody has any idea if he's ever telling the truth or not

he sacrifices himself to buy Sam some time to crowd lucifer out of his head

but he's resurrected, like cas was

and is a lot more straightforward than cas

like, he pops in and goes,

"Hey Deano, just letting you know Sammy's up and running again, but he may or may not have his soul. Heads up!"

and then just leaves

so he's both way more clear and way more complicated than cas
