Yes. I live in The Philippines.
The cheapest ticket to the movies that are currently showing I think is around 180PHP, which is around $4.10 and that's at SM Cinema, which is owned by SM Supermalls, the largest chain of malls in the country.
The most expensive I've heard of is 400PHP, which is around $9.20, at Solaire, I think? Or Resorts World Manila. Both are expensive-ass places.
Getting drinks and food for the movie usually costs the same, around $5.
There are some cinemas that replay movies from a few months to a few years back, and they only charge around $0.60 for it.
$4.10 for a movie is actually already a big thing, because my lunch money for a day is around $7.

Correct. This is the issue at hand to focus on here, not Giroux's innocence. Giroux will be just fine. It is really important to educate others on this so they do not commit a similar crime or do not stand for when this happens to them before it is too late.
