CNN, Vice, HuffingtonPost, The Guardian, Buzzfeed and others are downright lying. They aren't changing a thing with that pipeline. Not only are they drilling as we speak they're stalling on a Presidential decision literally till Jan 21st, when Trump takes the torch, and will prob (definitely) send in the military in behalf of DAPL because he's personally invested (after adding together his stocks in catering, energy, infrastructure, etc) in approx 25% of the #DAPL pipeline project. When Oceti Sakowin was in desperate need of donations, a rumor spread through the masses that an anonymous donor had sent 2.5 million dollars to #standingrockprotests . This choked off donations, because people who would've already donated were getting information implying the #waterprotectors were all set and didn't need any extra help. When supporters were raising funds for arrestees, in particular #redfawn, news broke that Red Fawn was, in fact, released! This nearly STOPPED the slow trickle of donated legal funds towards her bail and her family. And now ppl are shouting VICTORY! Attention from mass media and the ppl who listen to them is already shifting away. In several days, the nodapl movement will be OLD news. And my cynicism about the validity and weight of the Army Corps statement yesterday has already alienated ppl who supported my reporting just hours ago because of textbook cognitive dissonance. We are being split into factions from within. We are being divided and conquered when we allow false narratives to literally write OVER the truth of the world. There are REAL press statements from Energy Transfer Partners, Morton County Govt, ND Senators, and ppl on the ground in real time. You don't even need thumbs if you can grunt a couple key words into Siri. There's no excuse, friends. We must counter the lies by citing REAL sources for people who show support in a false "victory." If they express true excitement and celebration at the news of DAPL actually halting, they SHOULD care about the truth; we have about 48 days till things get real
