1995-06-23: Phish, Waterloo Village, Stanhope, NJ
Another Phish show at Waterloo Village. I heard they have started having shows there again...it would be awesome if Phish played there again. Especially since this is the closest Phish show to the Rhombus.
I think I attempted to record this show. We got in late (still had not figured out patcher etiquette). Show was already started so obviously no one was going to let met patch. I set my old school Marantz cassette recorder on the ground in the section and let it roll. That tape no longer exists and obviously didn’t sound that great.
Also managed to get in with a video recorder. I had no idea this wasn’t allowed and got pulled back stage and had the tape take away from me. I learned my lesson...if your gonna record against the rule always carry a blank tape to pawn off to security. Of course that doesn’t work anymore since there are no tapes.
Show was pretty good. I fucking hate Abba (almost as much as The Eagles), but laughed when they did a short cover of Waterloo. Also of interest that 3 out of my first 5 Phish shows had a Harpua. Not the same now.

Reba did not have the whistling ending. Harpua was unfinished; Jimmy played an Abba record (which led to a verse of Abba’s Waterloo), decided that he hated Abba and thought that maybe a little rocking harmonica would tighten it up. John Popper then came out for to play harmonica on a jam that led into Llama. Llama and GTBT also featured John Popper on harmonica. It's Magic was part of the soundcheck's My Sweet One Refrain Medley.
