Smoky Star Trails - North Dandalup Dam, Western Australia
What to do when the Milky Way season ends? Well, star trails of course :) I've never tried a star trails panorama, I wasn't even sure it would work but thankfully it did. This is a 'two image' pano but I guess technically it's 150 images (2 x 75 shots). I've been to this location previously to take some Milky Way shots, it's about 50 minutes south of home a few km east of the small town of North Dandalup near Perth, Western Australia. The brightness and haze to the left of the image is the 95% full moon rising towards the north east and illuminating smoke haze from some nearby bushfires. Technical details: 2 x 75 shots at 30s ISO 800 11mm f3.2
