My case and point
Every time I read Their Fractured Light I'm stuck thinking about how getting to see all three girls interact (and even just more interaction between Lilac and Jubilee) was stolen from us.
I just want a short or something of the girls being friends 😭😭😭😭
Flynn teaching Jubilee how to pole a currach.
Early on in TSW she mentioned wanting training on it. Flynn probably thought it'd be a fun date, teaching her to pole to a nice spot for a picnic.
When the two return to town everyone knows because they're still arguing, and half the contents of the picnic had fallen into the water after Lee hit the basket with the pole.
Ultimately though, she learns and has Flynn to thank (even if he was an awful teacher)
Fav non-romantic duo from the series?
Jubilee and Lilac!
We don't get to see much of the two girlbosses working together but it's clear in Their Fractured Light they work as a team pretty well. I'd kill for a short of the two of them hanging out causing problems (like the Tales of Ba Sing Se episode of ATLA with Toph and Katara), even better if it's with Sophia!
The guys better watch their asses when the three are on the prowl
TBS 10th birthday and being back into the swing of reading has me acting up.
So naturally I'm building a TSW ambient reading Playlist.
It's hard to find swamp ambience that matches the fact that Avon has no frogs or crickets.
Just mud and algae and people.
Reason plays no part in fear.
Amie Kaufman & Meagan Spooner, Their Fractured Light
Very rough sketch of Lilac LaRoux from These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner.
You can’t judge a whole species by the actions of one man. There are monsters among us, it’s true. But there are heroes too. There are people who fight men like him. Who will never stop fighting men like him.
