I know it’s a long shot, but should the stardroids ever appear again I think that Pluto should be given a redemption arc as a reference to the fact that his namesake is no longer classified as a planet

Follow up does anyone else think they made him cat themed because his name kind of sounds like a pun on purr+pluto in its Japanese pronunciation.

(I don’t speak Japanese so the way I’m pronouncing this in my head could be wrong please correct me if it is I just noticed it and haven’t seen any other convincing explanations for why he’s a cat)

Edit to clarify: I should’ve explained how I’m pronouncing it in my head lmao. I didn’t think of it because it looks like it has the word ‘pur’ at the beginning but more cause of the tongue roll sound I’ve heard used for the combined L&R sound in Japanese, alongside the extra ‘Pu’ syllable at the beginning. I’m sure if you’re just saying it regularly it doesn’t sound like purr and pluto combined, but if you drag it out and put emphasis on the first half instead of the second like you would with a pun like ‘eggs-ellent’ it kinda does!

Again, I still for sure could be wrong but I realised that a lot of people probably assumed I have an American accent and was pronouncing it phonetically.
