Hello, everyone! Over the course of December we'll be finishing the uploads of our older posts, and then it's on to new horizons. Starting in January, we'll be spending three months deep-diving a handful of thematically-linked locations, expanding and developing them, and you get to decide what topic will unite them!

Welcome to the Starfallen Sea!
So what the heck is this thing, anyway?
In 2022, I decided to embark on a writing project that would double as a potential setting for dark fantasy roleplaying - the Starfallen Sea. A world on the brink of the end, it was a collection of a few hundred islands, each finding a way to strive against the oncoming night as the world slowly broke down around it.
The key to the Starfallen Sea, at the time, was that its lore could only be delivered using 280 characters (for posting on a certain now rapidly-collapsing birdsite.) Each piece would thus serve as a glimpse into the Seas, hinting at a broader scope and gradually expanding references and concepts through a growing web of ideas and plot hooks.
Changes in the world led to the end of the Starfallen Sea on its original site back in October, and I embarked on the next phase. Over the course of December, I'll be re-uploading Starfallen content, now slightly edited from a character limit to a 50-word limit and with hastags for ease of sorting. In January, we will begin with new content, delving into a different area and creating a web of lore for each one every month. I have some other ideas for implementation if this project takes off, but I want to start with what I know I can do.
