A bit of a plan in place

Hello!

I know this is abnormal from what I normally post but I felt the need to kind just let everyone know what the plan is since we are reaching the end of July. I go back to school here in about three-ish weeks. While I do only have one in person class, the rest I have are online classes. It is my final semester before I graduate so I will really have to focus on school. This could possibly mean that updates will be a lot more spaced out and not as frequent. I am currently up to date, chapter 4 for Love in The Storm is done and I have a plan to post it later this week, and I am writing chapter 5 now, and that will come (I hope) a little earlier than normal due to an event I have that weekend. But also if I don't feel that it's good, I will take that week off to write and fix it. I have mentioned before on my about me that I don't have a schedule for when I upload, which still remains true, but given that I am very ahead of schedule in terms of writing, I am planning an idea of when I would like to post the chapters. Which if I write ahead like I am now, it will make it much easier for me to upload when I am drowning in video production work and HTML work. I do hope with the HTML class, I'll have a much better understanding of it and not just what I know in regards to tumblr. Also like mentioned, I am going to focus on one project at a time. Doing planning for the Eddie story might become messy if I don't finish Love In the Storm here. Because my video production class is an advanced class and I really need to lock in for that class. I would start planning now, but my ADHD brain will not like that. I am not going to give an idea for what it will look like in December when I graduate, because many things can happen between now and then. Obviously the Avengers: Doomsday trailer has me already thinking of writing a sequel to Love In The Storm. It only ideas and I don't want to give anything away about what I'm thinking, as it can change. I know this was a long post, but I kinda figured to just give all my readers a heads up. The good thing about this being my last semester is no more school, but also I don't have a job right now (I have been looking all summer and I never got calls back and one rejection, and little to no jobs hiring in my area.) and I will be looking for a job over the time I am doing school and that will be higher priority. I will need a job when I graduate. From there when I get something, I will update of what posting may look like in the future. Just giving all my readers again a heads up. Thank you to everyone who has been reading Love In The Storm and read my not proof read short Seventeen Magazine. I hope to update everyone again with more than just Love In The Storm and some more small things!

Update :: 4/13/25

Ironic date to finally be posting about this decision, but hello, a significant announcement today.

Starlight is now, officially, no longer an AU! It is an original project. While I (and Prismarine) still love HC very much, the ideas I've had for this universe and the way I've constructed stories are constantly at odds with events taking place on the server or in the community (in both positive and negative ways). I don't want to be restricted, and converting Starlight into its own thing is the easiest way to accomplish this.

I'll be editing/updating existing info posts, making a new pinned, and sharing my worldbuilding progress as I have the time and spoons. But if you came here because of the Hermits, thank you! If you're no longer interested, thank you, too. If you plan to stick around, great! It's a pleasure to have you.

I won't get into the nitty-gritty of what the change over to original project means for the existing lore and character development, but I will say that the characters will probably still retain designs close to the ones I've already made in some cases, but they'll all get some form of revamp to help separate them.

Update :: 11/26/24

Hey. I've been toying with what to do about Starlight and its plots and the Hermits in regards to what has recently occurred.

I'm still unsure of my final decision on the matter, but I will either be reworking one of the fully developed plot points + associated tidbits OR finally biting the bullet and going "this is no longer an AU". The latter is a far more tedious choice to make, so I'm genuinely not sure what to do yet.

Just needed to record my thoughts, sorry this is a non-decison really. I'm sad.

Unfortunately my focuses have shifted again so I don't have any estimate on when they'll be finished and posted now. Hopefully before the end of the year! Thank you everyone for your patience!!!

Update :: 7/29/23

I’m sure you’ve probably noticed the shiny new overview and the rewrite of Server’s Datadex entry by now (if you haven’t, you can find them here and here!), so I might as well make it official.

I am currently in a space where I have the time and interest in working more heavily on Starlight again and I am trying to use it to the best of my ability! :D

So, happy (slightly belated) third anniversary Starlight. Expect an update for Mivus’ entry shortly and hopefully some brand new content in the near future! Thank you for your interest everyone! <3

Update :: 11/20/22

I totally didn't accidentally post a blank version of this - I don't know what you're talking about. Hi, though! Blackstone here, just to give a very brief update that is of course somewhat overdue, mostly because I've uh... been procrastinating writing it.

I've personally been working on another project in the last few months here and there that hopefully I'll be able to introduce you all to sooner or later... And concerning Starlight itself, Prismarine and I have spent some time hammering out details about planets and the timeline, too. I make no promises of when those updated versions of some of the Datadex posts will be made, but I will make them eventually :')
