                            ( A.K.A the headcanon that HURT me - starryiism )

          Family is a topic that’s been covered both HERE and HERE but I want to expand on this even more. 

          Daiki wishes to have a family of his own more than anything - a girlfriend/wife && kid(s) that he can call his. Whilst he already has one of those things crossed off, he has a problem -

                       Daiki can’t have kids

          He doesn’t find this out until he’s about 25/26, a few years after he marries Suzume, && they start trying for a family. They find this out under the worst circumstances, with them trying for months without any success, until they finally take it up with a doctor. When the results come in a few weeks later, it will come to light that Daiki has a genetic defect; caused by a recessive gene that has been passed down through his family, that causes him to be infertile; therefore making him unable to have children. He will have a low sperm count, && his chances at being able to fertilize are incredibly low ( though not entirely impossible - something he’ll be unable to comprehend ). && whilst he may have the support of his family && friends ( especially Suzume && Yuyuka ) the news will break him, && he’ll end up distancing himself once more.

           But until then, he’ll continue to dream about having a family, without any knowledge of what is yet to come.

    Trying to draw a muse in order to really tap into his role this time... Lavi sits in an outside set-up for a cafe. Elbows hurting with digging into the metal table top, a green eye glances over at a girl who takes a seat. Tilting his head, he decides she’s not bad-looking--noting a “strike” in his head--he begins to wonder what experience it would give him to try and talk it up with a stranger with no way to find something in common.

    Chomping on his food, he doesn’t even realize he’s staring, trying to figure something out.

      This particular restaurant was one the whiskered blond found himself at often, food and drinks both made well. Not only that --- but the quiet nature of the location was something he enjoyed as well. After a day at school or his own job, this was a place that hit the spot when he was trying to relax and just enjoy himself. Ah --- but there was another reason why he found himself at this particular place. An individual --- a very beautiful woman --- worked there as a server. He had no idea when he had fallen for the young woman, but he couldn’t help where his heart lied. Every time he spent his time at the restaurant, he always asked for her by name, enjoying the company that she had to offer even in those few moments of serving him. He had no idea how to even approach her about it or anything, so he figured that the small time he had with her this way was best for now. Yeah --- he tended to be spontaneous, but when it came to girls, he tended to make himself look like an idiot. 

      Steps would find themselves walking through a familiar door, a seat he normally took open. His usual routine consisted of asking for that same server, coworkers close by giggling at the fact that he was here again. He wondered what they said, or if they suspected something. It didn’t take long for that recognizable face to catch his gaze as she made her way over --- for some reason, it made his day just being able to see her, even if it was for a couple minutes at a time. After all --- she had to work, right? Mood would turn more casual as he went to greet her, signature grin lifting onto his features.  

      ❝Hey Suzume-chan! Do you remember me? I came here before and you served me then too dattebayo! It’s nice to see you again! Guess i can’t help but ask for you since you were so awesome last time we saw each other! Heh --- mind if I get the same thing I did last time? That was good ‘ttebayo!❞  

                             How much lamer could he sound ---
