He almost didn’t notice the camera pointed in the direction he was about to simply waltz right into, having been looking the other way at first. But thankfully Wataru does catch sight of the young man holding the camera, stops himself from moving any further, and waits a bit off to the side to watch with a faint sort of amusement. At the least, he knows when to not disturb the work of someone else (he’s not entirely too fond of his own being truly interrupted, after all). 

It takes a number of moments, and by the time it seems safe to simply walk along, Wataru has decided he’d rather get a peek into the creativity of other minds. He continues waltzing along once more, albeit towards the one with the camera this time instead of wherever else he’d intended to go before. It hadn’t been a pressing matter.

“And to think, I had almost simply wandered into your work unsolicited!” His voice booms louder than usual for a moment, if only to ensure he’s heard before he draws closer. “Fufufu. I might be charming enough and accustomed to such a thing, but that is surely not what you were intending to capture. Though I must admit to a bit of curiosity now regardless, after seeing our surroundings... ✰“

it takes all of two seconds to notice a lack of presence from one king   &.   immediately his gaze hardens akin to stone.   ❛   &.   noctis   ?   what of him   &.   ardyn   ?   the mission he is to accomplish   ?   ❜   he means not to pressure prompto   ---   but in his voice shows his urgency,   a dire need to know what has happened since his untimely demise at the hands of ardyn.   if lunafreya places his faith in her king,   then so shall he.   he only hopes he is worth such worship from his beloved sister.   /   ` @starshelles

If only there was a way for this strange place to be an emotional buffer between them and their old home, and not just a physical one. The pain felt in Insomnia couldn’t just be left behind: it followed them around still, biting at their heels even during moments of rest and peace. Gladio constantly feels the sting of losing a father in his chest, losing friends, so he knows that the others feel it as well. There’s proper time to mourn now, though. The threat of the world being swallowed by darkness hasn’t followed them, thank the Six, so now at least they can process, and rest. And Gladio would be damned if wasn’t going to help the others. 

“Hey kid,” Gladio starts out, low and gentle, sitting on the edge of the bed, “How are you holding up?” There’s concern on his face and in his voice as he settles, pulling his legs up and underneath him. “Really.”

“Hm, hm ♪. Yes, taste over appearance, taste over process, thus a wonderful transformation occurs... like so!”

He’d been intently hovering over one of the many grilling areas, humming to himself as meats and vegetables he’d chosen cooked, and now he had completed the process by giving it... well, some kind of sauce. There were no exacts of anything used back home for the yakiniku process that he’d seen, but improvisation never hurts. It’s not bad, either. And with that done, he’ll towards a recognizable face, offering a broad smile.

“Ufufu, had you been looking? Perhaps simply curious? By all means, if you would like a taste, there is no harm in taking some ✰.”

He’s been getting this feeling since he arrived here, but it was never more palpable than now, wandering through the middle of the market. This place was alive. Busy, sure, perhaps having far less plants than he was used to, paradoxically – but for there to be this many people, 9S... can’t help but feel a little melancholy.

Mumbling, offhand, he wonders just what this world meant. “I guess this must’ve been... what human civilisation felt like.” In the end, even a feeling as strange as that... filled him with unease.

inside ravus’ head

1: What does their bedroom look like?

very clean,   very pristine.   everything is folded neatly into designated areas,   and everything is kept in a very orderly fashion.   but despite how neat it appears,   it probably also feels very   …   empty.   there probably aren’t that many traces of him inside.   no paintings,   no photos,   no decorations.   maybe he has one plant.   all the furniture shares a practical function   &.   there’s little left for sentimentality.   i think ravus would’ve gotten into the habit of not keeping mementos or things of that nature because of how often he has shared rooms with others.   he doesn’t want anyone infringing upon his privacy.   even letters are not often kept,   especially if it’s of a sensitive nature that he would not want someone to find.

7: Favorite way to waste time and feelings surrounding wasting time

i don’t think there’s a favorite way to waste time for ravus.   i don’t think ravus enjoys wasting time.   he seems like a very purposeful person   —   everything he does,   there’s some sort of intent behind him and his actions.   he probably has a schedule and keeps to it strictly,   preferring if his entire day is occupied so he isn’t allowed to wander with his thoughts.   if there is a strange section of unplanned time,   he probably feels rather antsy with it.

but if it’s about relaxation,   i like to think he enjoys a nice   &.   quiet tea session.   on more difficult occasion,   alcohol is sufficient   —   but nothing too hard or in large quantities.

14: Physical abnormalities? (Both visible and not, including injuries/disabilities, long-term illnesses, food-intolerances, etc.)

gestures to his robot arm.   aside from that,   he has heterochromia.   his right eye is blue   &.   the left eye is purple.   (   his eyes were originally grey in kingsglaive,   too   !   )

that’s   …   about it.   i don’t think ravus is a picky eater.   he has food he dislikes,   but he’ll eat it nevertheless.   no long-term illness either   (   unless   …   you count death,   i guess.   LOL.   )   he has no injuries or disabilities otherwise,   so i’m not sure what else could be mentioned.

21: Turn-ons? Turn-offs?

in general,   i’ll be talking about turn-offs from a friendship or general interest in a person.   i think someone who complains often,   &.   does little to fix their situation,   is someone ravus would not be happy with.   also people who take blessings in their lives for granted.   that probably makes ravus a little bitter   —   even as an adult,   he’s not above being petty because others can’t appreciate the good that they may have in their lives.

that isn’t to say that ravus enjoys misery’s company   —   but i think he appreciates people who are steadfast in what they want to do.   someone who understands the hardships but presses forward anyways.   it also probably helps if you don’t purposely try to annoy him or press him for private matters.   also,   points if you enjoy witty humor   &.   good tea.

aside from that,   ¯\_(´・ω・｀)_/¯  if you’re referring to things of a more explicit nature,   i have no intentions of writing nsfw so i’d rather not think about it.   LOL.

2B had never been inclined to particularly look skyward - at best, she’d spare a glance to where she believed the moon would be, if she could see it - but had otherwise, as always, been focused on the ground, on her missions. Besides that, a tidally locked earth had rendered her unaware of the mere concept of “night” prior to this.

Her only experience with the stars had ever been those few, precious minutes she’d been in the bunker, near the windows – and even then, it hadn’t been something she’d paid attention to. Her visor left her able to see quite well at night, rendering the whole concept largely useless; she still paid the sky no more mind than any other time, saying she saw no draw to the stars, no reason to look at balls of gas, the light of which was thousands of years old at best.

That is, until she nearly trips over a man laying in the grass, eyes open and fixed on the sky. Her own chin tips upward, unseen gaze lifting to the heavens. She studies the way the lights twinkle just so, delicate patterns that she feels as though she could make out - or that 9S would surely explain if he were at her side. 

She stands there, for quite awhile, in silence, before she finally manages to speak.

“What are you doing?”

2B asks, but even before he answers, she thinks maybe she sees the draw of the night sky.

“There’s even a pet store in this kind of place...” Of course, he was a little sceptical when he walked in, but it was hard to feel afraid when there were so many cute animals around. Even if this city seemed bizarrely unreal, their idea of pets wasn’t too unfamiliar... though he could never have imagined a horse being displayed alongside a hamster so casually.

“Ehehe.” Peering at some hamsters, he finds himself smiling involuntarily. It wasn’t like he’d managed to sit down and code since he got here, so for the first time, something makes him feel relaxed enough to beam at a stranger.

“It’s surprising, isn’t it? Even in this weird place, they’re still just as cute...”
