& @ningquan .
a familiar click – clack of heels echo across the courtyard of yuehai pavilion as ganyu hurries over the stone – laden foundations, passing through the shadow cast by the jade chamber up above. deep amber and cor – lapis hues of the foliage growing along the sunlit cliffside of mount tianheng color the afternoon light a soft, warm shade as the elevator ascends, and the familiar chill of sea – breeze mingling with the brisk mountain air tingles against her skin. the tianquan must be pleased, ganyu reflects idly as the people passing by below slowly shrink from view. that she herself hasn't had cause to return to lady ningguang's chambers until now feels somewhat bittersweet, but now is not the time to lament the lack of a formal invitation.
she lingers around the entrance for just a moment, taking in the sensory marvel of it all – air thick with the scent of water lilies, roof shingles coated with tiny droplets of water from the billow of clouds encircling the perimeter. peace from up here. the ambience alone instills a sense of serenity within her, apparent in the way she tells the guards i'm here to see lady ningguang with such an easy smile, and greets the other secretaries with relaxed familiarity on her way down the spiral staircase. it's really back, just as it were.
" lady ningguang. " ganyu enters the unenclosed office space with scrolls of paper stacked underneath her arm and a slight flush to her cheeks from the cool air outdoors – the very image of an intrepid young secretary, even after all this time. " i have all the documents you requested from yuehai pavillion. " it's not technically an excuse, though she scarcely has time to play errand girl these days. " ... would you mind if i stayed while you go over them? some of these need to be returned, and i – um .. i'm not particularly busy. i can wait. " not quite as refined as she'd have liked, but oh well.
