Luna rested her head on Luke’s shoulder after turning on the TV. She placed a hand on his thigh before breaking the silence, “You know, we should take a vacation. Summer is officially around the corner and I think we deserve a break from the city. There are a bunch of places that we are hoping to visit.” She turned to completely face the other, “Think we should?”

Luna was walking along the sidewalk going window shopping. She had the day off from work and wanted to browse for possible new outfits. She walked by a cafe and stopped in her tracks when she recognized the man serving customers as she looked through the large window. The woman walked into the shop and approached him, “how the hell are you alive?” She told the man after he finished serving customers. “You should be dead or if not dead really old.…”

“Not going to lie, but you should revamp your playlist. Include some classic songs and songs will different tempos. I believe having a mixture would create a good performance. If you want, Damien, I could help you,” Luna told him after reviewing his playlist. “Do you have a potential theme for the upcoming performances?”

“If you don’t know what you should try as a new hobby why don’t you try hand lettering? I heard it’s a new trendy hobby. I’ve seen a couple of short clips on Instagram lately. Apparently, there’s like a bunch of different pens you can use,” Luna suggested to the other. “Now as I am thinking about it, isn’t hand lettering technically just calligraphy?”

Luna made her way down the stairs, after receiving the final text message, so she could meet up with Blake. Well more so of messing around with her friend. She was thankful that she had an hour until she had to return to check on her trainees. She gave them a break to eat  lunch but also their vocal coach would be there after fifteen minutes. She quickly walked over to the convenient store then patiently waited for Blake to show up. Luna pulled out her phone to set an alarm to make sure she was back in the building in fifty minutes. Still plenty of time.

Luna tipped her head after she looked up and down the other woman’s outfit. She pressed her lips into a firm line as she formulated her response on how the outfit looked. “I do like it, however, maybe see if we can find you a blouse that is a bit more fitted around the shoulders.”

Sakura, alone, wandered through the forest. There was an slight overcast that afternoon, but the trees made the forest a bit darker. It was quiet. In the distance, you could hear the water from the creek running down stream, and small animals climbing up the trees or scurrying across the forest floor. The forest was a place where the young kitsune could be without too much of a care in the world. Well, she rarely cared about anything except two people: her twin and her mother. No one else. For now. 

As she neared the creek, the kitsune stopped dead in her tracks when she heard quick footsteps. She couldn’t catch a strong smell, but she knew it wasn’t a human. Sakura swallowed hard, her nails extended, and quickened her pace to the creek. 

Please don’t be an oni, please.

“I don’t really have anything to do this afternoon, and I was wondering if you wanted to join me on a walk. The cherry and spring blossoms are in bloom. And thought a walk would be great and we could take pictures and all of that stuff,” Luna told the other. “But, if you have something else in mind we could do that.”
