mirror mirror || Sam&Sofia
Sam wasn’t the type to frivolously spend his money. He worked hard for his income and liked to save it, he never knew when the house might need some fixing up or something like that. But the enchanted items at one particular stall caught his eye, and he browsed through them curiously. He picked up an old mirror, the kind with a handle that looked like it should be in a Victorian lady’s bedroom. The glass of the mirror seemed untarnished from time, and the salesmen assured him it was enchanted. It apparently held the power to let you relive memories, and as Sam looked into it he saw himself and his sisters as kids.
He ended up buying the mirror, for nostalgia’s sake and also hoping maybe he’d find some answers within it. The mirror was wrapped up in brown paper before Sam left the stall to meet up with Sofia. She was the perfect person to try the mirror out with--his sisters might see something Sam didn’t want them to see. Even if Sam hadn’t told Sofia everything about his life, she was always an impartial judge when he did.
Sam found her sitting outside a coffee shop at a little table, holding a chair for him with her purse and her feet propped up on it. “Hey,” he said with a smile. “You order me a coffee?”
