Got this big boy out of the glaze firing yesterday. This is one of my favorite pieces and here’s why. After it was thrown I bumped into with my knee when I was making space for some other work. I didn’t want to recycle it as it was so big. I just put three other indents in each side wall and voila. Many years ago, I used to distort my work after I had thrown it, playing with the perfect symmetry you achieve on the wheel. This happy accident has reminded me of that and I’m going to develop some new work out of this latest mishap. Here’s me, holding this planter for some scale. 👉🏽 #studiolife #stayfluid #embraceimperfection #handthrownceramics #maketimetodevelopnewwork (at TRADE the MARK) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bp5OUztlvRy/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1pdpkhvjyvlbe
