On Party Etiquette & the Belief of Others
One evening this past week, Stone was honored to be invited to a tea party hosted by Ms. Kylie. He, of course, accepted the invitation. Upon arrival, Ms. Kylie introduced him to her other guests, several of the plush variety as Stone himself, and others were invisible to Stone.
Stone was mildly surprised that he could not see the last of the guests, but said nothing of it to Ms. Kylie. Just because he could not see them, does not mean they weren't there to Ms. Kylie.
Stone mingled with those he could see, and politely listened to Ms. Kylie talk of those he could not, ever the gentleman.
Ms. Kylie gave Stone a seat of honor in her high chair, and at the end of the evening, Stone bid his farewell and told Ms. Kylie of the wonderful evening he'd had.
Ms. Kylie had a wonderful time, as did Stone. He did not ridicule Ms. Kylie, because even though he couldn't see all of Ms. Kylie's friends, didn't mean they weren't actually there for her.
As a Grey, it is respectful to accept the beliefs of others even if they are not your own.
