my favourite scene from Eva would have to be the instrumentality/Komm Susser Tod sequence. It just has so many utterly brilliant aspects to it, the disorienting art style during Shinji's inner monologue, the monologue itself, some beautiful cinematography, like the shot of Rei emerging from the earth as the first chorus starts, It's amazing.
