Hoshi had been looking forward to this shore leave for months; from what she’d read of this world, it was quite the tourist attraction. It was no Risa, but it had beautiful beaches, and gorgeous snow covered mountains- no doubt Travis was taking his vacation there…she hoped he wouldn’t break his leg again.

She and Captain Archer- or as he was known on vacation, Jon- opted to go visit one of the bars; it’s name loosely translated to “Sky’s The Limit”, which seemed a fitting name considering it was high above the ground, almost touching the clouds.

The tall alien man had walked up to their table with a sneer and leaned on the table, blocking Jon and started flirting with her and talking badly of her Captain in the native’s language. Her grip on the glass tightened and she responded in the same tongue- ‘Back Off’

He didn’t, and so Hoshi narrowed her eyes and hit him right between his eyes, watching him fall backward hitting the ground and seeing one of his buddies rush over and pick him up as he muttered something she couldn’t hear.

“Wow … you’re hot when you’re angry.”

Hoshi blushed at Jon’s words, biting her lip and finished her drink. “…Thank you.”

Pleased to see that Hoshi’s rage has died down, Jon stood up. He watched at the guy’s buddies half-dragged him out of the bar, and couldn’t stifle a wave of pride in Hoshi. If she hadn’t hit him, he probably would have. And Jon didn’t even need to understand what he was saying in another language to do it. The blatant objectification of Hoshi was enough. But Jon was now aware of everybody’s eyes on them. Even if he did have a couple drinks, their stares bored hard, and Jon cleared his throat. “How about we go for a walk?” He suggested, a hand resting between Hoshi’s shoulder blades. “To, uh, cool off?”
