STELLA
Stella had been... gone for a long time. Longer than anticipated. The diner felt empty without everyone’s favorite waitress; as if there had been a void, or lack of energy encompassing the place. Not to mention, it had been maddening to think of what those demons might’ve done to her; to think of how she spent her time in prison as an innocent human being.
Which is why there had been an elaborate plan to get her back. And if Stella had known about the dangers they would encounter ( about the hungry beasts that awaited ), she would’ve preferred to stayed locked away. Preferred to not see her roommates return from battle with injuries and wounds. Preferred to ignore the RED X’s that foreshadowed something evil -- something of concern.
However, Holly couldn’t control all the outcomes that fell into place; all that mattered was that Stella was home ( despite the markings on their door ). Ultimately, Holly focus on her task at hand; to finish making her pancake batter instead -- Sunday breakfast wasn’t a tradition that would be easily broken. And once there had been a stack of warm fluffy pancakes drenched in syrup, the ballerina knocked on the waitress’ door. A tray of food held between her hands, Holly stated, “... welcome home! Figured you’d want breakfast in bed today.”
The blonde wasn’t sure if they fed her properly ( or fed her at all ). But Holly could at least OFFER a small service for the brunette, a small token after days spent in hell. Setting the tray down on her bed, the blonde jokingly added, “.. and no, it’s not poisoned.”
