03.07.19 Miller Theater presented a Composer Portrait concert of John Zorn. Many premieres were performed by a series of heavyweights including Jack Quartet, Peter Evans, Stephen Gosling, Tyshawn Sorey, Dave Taylor,mallet percussionist Sae Hashimoto, Shanir Blumenkrantz, Marshall Gilkes and  Tara Helen O’Connor.

10/30/15  New concert venue National Sawdust on North 6 in Brooklyn is specializing in new music, contemporary classical, experimental and other forms that expand the boundaries of the culture. They are kicking off with a festival of John Zorn’s works and tonight featured an early set of thrilling virtuosic solo piano compositions performed by Stephen Gosling including Dead Ringer, Carny, Fay Ce Que Vouldras, Novalis, A Prayer for Nossis, Nijinsky. The 10pm set of Music for Cello featuring cellists Jay Campbell, Erik Friedlander, Mike Nicolas and Jeffrey Zeigler in stunning performances of music from Masada Book Two, Ouroboros, Autumn Rhythm, 777, the world premiere of Pierrot for solo cello & 3 celli and Babel – the infamous chopstick race-car piece performed by Zeigler.
