I don’t see life as a winning losing thing. Why can’t we all be successful in the ways that we wanna be? I think that that mentality is an instinctive survival mechanism from evolution. It’s also a capitalistic mentality.

But if you always feel in competition with the people around you you’ll always be stressed and the things you achieve will not be for yourself. You’ll only achieve those things to prove yourself to others that you got farther than them.

If you want to learn someone’s true nature pay attention to the way they treat other people. Pay attention to how they treat themselves and sometimes how they think of themselves.

My family started from nothing. My grandfather was an alcoholic and used all the money for alcohol. My moms side of the family has no inheritance from my grandparents. But one thing that was enforced on all of us was hard work. People always say my moms side of the family is rich and we do have a more money than average but it all came from hard work. They all left Guyana and started from the very bottom with nothing.

Me and my family were watching a movie with someone who shot the people that bullied him and i was called apathetic because I said they shouldn’t have bullied him. It’s not that idc about the people that got shot but I’m just wondering how much mental anguish that poor person had to go through in order to get to that point. Can you imagine what could’ve happened if everyone who bullied that person decided to become his friend instead?

In elementary school I got close to a girl with autism. Idk where she is now but ever since then I made it a thing to become friends with people who were excluded. It does so much.

My Values💕

Kindness. Kindness has been my #1 value for many years. I believe in always being kind no matter what others may have done. Of course I did realize over time that kindness doesn’t mean that you can’t stand up for yourself. Of course you should stand up for yourself but you don’t have to treat people with everlasting hatred. I also believe in giving as an act of kindness. I believe in working at shelters, helping seniors and providing for the homeless.

Honesty. For years I have practice complete honesty. I believe in being honest no matter what. I just believe that it is good in order to maintain my own integrity.

Understanding. I believe in trying to understand everyone. At one point in my life it hit me that everyone has their own past and circumstances that make them who they are. I realized almost every person has their own reasons for being a certain way or doing certain things. Of course it doesn’t mean it’s always the right thing to do but you can at least try to understand. Also of course it doesn’t mean everybody is a good person. It’s not like I’ll try to understand Hitler or something.

What is a gift to you? To me a gift is anything i am thankful for, something that not everybody gets to experience or have, it’s something i probably could not have had. Which is almost everything around me. For example, waking up in the morning is a gift from god. I could’ve not have woken up.

It’s never good to judge people based on appearances. Treat EVERY single person the way you would want to be treated it doesn’t matter if they look poorer or have a mental illness or any reason that would give someone a reason to make fun of them.

Gaslighting is a real thing. One form of gaslighting is indirectly making people feel guilty by making subtle comments of things you wish they would do in ways that look like your pitying yourself. My mother does this. People will either ignore it or take it seriously and for the people who take is seriously it will take a mental toll on their self esteem.
