4 Steps to Cut the Stress
Spring Semester is rapidly coming to a close, which means that peak stress season is in full swing! Finals and potential summer job/ internship worries, on your mind, can make it difficult to to be anything but stressed! So, today I want to share 4 steps you can take to cut the stress.
1. Plan, Plan, Plan: The quickest and easiest way to cut stress out of the end of your semester is to have a planner and use it wisely! Sit down and write out all the things you need to finish before semster's end and then stick to a timeline of when each thing is due...Not procrastinating assignments and deadlines is a sure way of not pulling your hair out with stress.
2. Crank Up the Music- When stress starts to overwhelm you crank up your favorite type of music and rock out! Dance like crazy...the more upbeat the song... the better! This will instantly relax you and is a little bit of fun in the process.
3. Exercise-Just like dancing, exercising releases endorphins in your body that make you feel happy and relaxed! Take a break from studying and take a walk, run, or a quick trip to the gym. Not only will you be feeling better, but it will help you refocus on the tasks at hand.
4. Quote It- When all else fails, surround yourself with positive, self-affirming quotes. Grab some sticky notes and Google away! Then surround your desk or work area with these sticky notes of wisdom! When you are stressed or just staring off randomly... (we all do it)... hopefully one will catch your eye and make the stress a little bit less!
Hope these help!
