This is an interesting look at Army and charts from a guy whose blog is super old. He sounds annoyed.
About nine months ago, the phenomenally successful South Korean boy band BTS released “Dynamite,” their first-ever English-language single.

Baby Birds Don’t Drink Milk – “Don’t Wanna Fall In Love” (Stereogum Premiere)
by Gabriela Tully Claymore
Baby Birds Don’t Drink Milk (BBDDM) have been mainstays of the national DIY touring circuit for ages, and though the band called it quits back in 2013, that fission turned out to just be a temporary hiatus. BBDDM will play their first show of 2016 this weekend (1/9) at Brooklyn’s Palisades alongside likeminded artists Oneida and Dan Friel, and today we’re announcing that BBDDM will release a new album in March to follow-up last year’s Kill The Fuzz. Burritos(great title!) is due out by way of Fire Talk and Lillerne records, and “Don’t Wanna Fall In Love” is its first single. At just under two minutes, the song unfurls in continuous, layered patterns. It’s a wall-of-sound aesthetic that doesn’t repel the listener so much as it builds itself up around you. There’s a lot of comfort to be found in it; Listen below.
Burritos is out 3/4 on Fire Talk/Lillerne. Pre-order it here or here.

“Myrkur’s internet presence is (or was in June, at least) pretty much nonexistent: no MP3s, no reviews, no interviews, no discussion, no self-promotion, and no social media whatsoever beyond a seven-month-old Facebook page with like 30 followers and zero updates. That’s … kinda rare. Even the most misanthropic black-metal outcasts aren’t entirely off the grid — or, if they are entirely off the grid, then I have no idea who they are, because they are intentionally making themselves invisible. “Invisible,” as in, they are not releasing records on Relapse, one of the biggest metal labels in the world. “
Are your ears so clogged with your Stereo Gum that you cannot recognize the lilt of a witch? Oh you should be so blessed. She does not need to hate to hide and she does not need to show herself to conquer. She is the grid.
