If somehow Sean Paul happened to be an actor, he'd rule the world of 'voice over' as opposed to being a stellar 'on camera' star. And that wouldn't be a bad move. But he just nah have it (on camera), as an artist. He's come a LONG WAY from his horrid performances of the past, but there's still something I see through CLEARLY when he's dancing or jumping around, trying desperately to appear cool n' in charge. His voice however…now that's a whole different story. Similar to Super Cat, he has one of the most distinctive (n' $ucce$$ful) voices coming out of Jamaica, as evidenced on his splendid guesting on Congorock & Stereo Massive's track, "Bless Di Nation" (which also has a Clockwork Remix) n' a remix package on iTunes featuring producer/remixers Firebeatz, GTA, Torro Torro, Valentino & Ookay. Though opposed to this over-saturation of the dog dance craze he's riding on here, SP does bring an organic element w/his vox to the sometimes too-synthetic electronic vibe half of these productions horridly display. Yea, a lot of hyped-up energy works for the outdoor festival revelers, but it's the slow-motion, sing-a-long chorus beatless-breakdown that really blesses it.
