engaging with the genloss fandom is hell and impossible and i think that it has the same issue as mouthwashing where the point if the media isnt to have fans (or god forbid ship the characters) but to actually get a fucking message from it
in all fairness i think with genloss there is a lot more room to get silly with it but shipping the characters specifically is so fucking far beyond the point it bothers me so bad. i would even go as far as to say it is the antithesis of the point
the whole fucking point of gl is about parasocial relationships and how being a star effects someone and how you can be forced to do things you would never do or agree with (watered down)
i also have seen from a lot of people (admittedly not first hand) that the gl fandom is very vapid which doesnt surprise me at all and i really fucking worry about when the next season(?) comes out
more people need to draw gl!boo with long hair. esp curly long hair. amen
