Well.

Firstly, thank you so much to both of them for letting me do this. I don’t have the words to say what it means.
Second, stories. I’m gonna try and keep this succinct but both were very cute. Excuse the rambling.
Jensen’s was actually first but I’m gonna start with Jared. When I asked if I could listen to his heart he was like “yeah” and literally puffed his chest out for it, then after I was done listening he asked “am I alive?” which explains the worried look he’s doing because I had no idea he was making that face until after I collected the photo! So at first I didn’t hear because I still had the earpieces in, and he waits for me to take them out and asks again so I grin and say “yeah, you’re alive” and thank him and that was Jared’s.
Jensen was adorable. So I ask if I can listen and he’s like, “yeah, let’s do this,” then kind of awkwardly holds out his hands like he wants to take the steth off me and put it on for me. Which, it’s currently backwards, so he says “you want to put it on?” so I turn it round and put it on. Then he’s actually holding the chestpiece like he doesn’t know what to do with it but he’s kinda hovering it near his chest (it’s also currently backwards because I had it in diaphragm mode and he was pointing the bell at himself) so I turn it round and put it on him and listen. Chris takes the photo and I thank Jensen and he does that beautiful smile and that was done. Then when I pick the photo up later I see his pose for the first time and just burst out laughing because it’s so perfect and fun and I’m so happy with it.
I don’t want to say there was a downside because there wasn’t, but my only frustration was the music was so damn loud. Even with the soft eartips that are meant to block it out it was super hard to hear. I could basically only hear S2 and no S1, and even then it was muffled, but I’m still super grateful I got to do this. The Littmann was a great investment. I think I probably wouldn’t have heard anything at all with a cheap stethoscope, so I’m going to treat that steth as special. I’ll also have to buy a new one, because now I don’t think I’ll ever be able to bring myself to use alcohol wipes on it now that Jensen’s handled it or use it on anyone else.
For anyone who’s curious, they both had nice, steady heartbeats. Couldn’t say whose was faster because I really didn’t get to listen for long enough to tell, but it wouldn’t surprise me at all if they were both perfectly matched.
