Put down the fruit salad and the fruit smoothies. As much as I used to love both, I’ve been trying to infuse Ayurveda practices + teachings into my life more than ever. According to Ayurveda, our bodies find their balance best when we avoid mixing most fruit with any other food - other fruits included. There are some compatible fruit combinations, but most of the time it’s best to eat one type of fruit by itself. It gives our bodies the chance to truly digest these gifts from this earth and absorb all they offer us. During the cooler months, it’s also best to avoid raw fruits. My favorite breakfast (or sometimes a pre-breakfast) is stewed apples! Message me for my favorite recipe / way to prepare!
