Fun facts about Fern (the old woman who played Pokemon) not only was she the first in line to play Pokemon games but she was a huge reader. So when I was in highschool she would hand me a bag every two weeks of about 10 books tell me to read them all in two weeks so she could give me another 10 and we could talk about the last ten. This went on for my whole time in highschool. She liked SJM and I got her a signed copy of Court of Thorns and Roses because she was on oxygen and couldn't make it to the signing. Her favorite pokemon was Bulbasaur. Her home was basically just a library with books piled high in every room. She saved my life by being kind and understanding even though there was a 70 year age gap between us. When she passed a couple years ago I cried for days.
