for context, there’s a “grade” system when playing nba 2k (a basketball simulation game) from D- to A. if you go below a D- (an F) you get kicked out of that current game session. my friend, who i will call darren, is currently stuck on a D grade (and has been for 3 out of 4 quarters to this point). he is playing with me, my friend david, and my other homie, bryan.
darren: i’ve been stuck on this D all game, gosh dang it.
*our homie david who is playing with us, chimes in*
david: you’ve been stuck on the D all game? *snickers*
david: *continues snickering* you gotta say no-homo after that shit, bro. that shit gay.
darren: i hate you, bro. you bugging, man. chill out-- no-homo, alright? is that better?
me: ...isn’t saying no-homo after everything imply you’re considering gayness on a more constant level than those who don’t use that phrase to begin with, so isn’t saying no-homo really just that much more gay, anyway?
david: this why i can’t fuck with you, bro. on god, i’mma mute you because you take the fun out of everything.
darren: and because he’s gay. *he says this jokingly*
me: ...yeah! pretty much.
