          Renji was caught red handed. He knew he shouldn’t have been within the barracks of the second division, stealing the cookies that the leader and her subordinates would be selling at the bake sale the thirteen divisions were holding later that day. And the fact that he had been caught by the Nibantai Taicho herself didn’t make matters any better for the poor redhead.

          With a cookie stuck in his mouth, the Rokubantai fukutaicho stared at the very intimidating small woman, not knowing what to say besides, “This… isn’t what it looks like. I was just testing them for quality. Wouldn’t want anyone getting sick, right?”

we can do canon and have Kyoko while she's younger, while Kaien was still around. Or we could do noncanon like if Kaien somehow came back or whatever.
