So we decided to take him to JOANNS to meet everyone. It is amazing the reactions you get when you take your build out in public. It is one of the rewards for sure, to see those reactions. We also took him to the Spartanburg Library because there are kids doing a reading program there and we thought it would be cool that they see him there. We actually built part of him at a maker space they have at our library. they have sewing machines, cricut machines and even 3d printers for makers. It is an awesome place. . [In 2019], we always want to do something we haven’t seen, albeit I know there are other Stitch cosplayers. However, we wanted to do an actual scaled version of Stitch and rival what Disney world puts out there in their very own parks. He has always been one of our all time fave characters, I think because he embodies so many other icons. . We first took it to a local Con, SC Comicon [in 2019]. The Con is always well attended and there are always lines around the block waiting to get in. We had already bought our tickets so as we walked by the line people kept stopping us for [photos, it took us 45 min. to get inside the venue. It’s hard to single one Con-goer out. Some cried with happiness, so many hugged him and people were literally forming a line just to meet him. .
