Dolena hadn’t bothered knocking before entering the flat. If she had, it would have been cause for concern, she was certain, because even if she were seething with anger, she would barge in unannounced, just as she did when she was content. The brunette was certain Stefan wouldn’t have known what to think if she’d actually shown him some common curtesy outside of putting on a show of normalcy for others. Anyway, it’d been a long day and felt like much too long since she’d spent some actual time with her best friend. There was a hollowness within her that ached when they were apart for too long; not a simple loneliness but as if something were missing from her.
She could hear the shower running and didn’t hesitate to make herself comfortable. Maybe she’d go write a message in the fog of his mirror once she found something in his fridge to eat. Pulling it open, she found some yogurt that would suffice and wondered if he kept her favorite kind on hand for days like this. It was something she suspected he would do and could serve as an easy food to convince his younger sister to eat if she began to regress in her recovery. Once the container was open and she’d grabbed a spoon, the shower had stopped. She moved out of the kitchen and perched herself on an end table to wait for him to come out. “If I’d have known it was food and a show, I’d have dressed for the occasion.” She said, when he entered the room. Pressing a spoonful of the light purple-pink substance into her mouth, she looked him over. Considering the view her shoulders rose in a thoughtful shrug before pulling the utensil from her lips. “Or, undressed for it, maybe?”
