I absolutely adore cows. My Grandfather's best friend gave me a beautiful girl I named Gracie when I was 11 years old. Australia exports live cows to countries such as Indonesia. The cows are jam-packed on a ship, and transported for days often in blazing, oven-like conditions. When they leave the Australian vessel and are handed over, the treatment of the animals is left to those in the country. Too many times have we seen mass murders, giant open killing fields with bodies of the dead and alive tortured and slaughtered with rusty and blunt machetes. This cow pictured jumped off the ship upon being pushed forward to his/her imminent death. They know exactly what is happening, they are intelligent, sentient beings. My soul aches for this poor animal, as the news reported that they were 'rescued;' only to be craned carries back to the ship sailing to their slaughter. I do not condone any killing of animals. However, procedures such as live export are beyond cruel and must be banned. After all, how would you feel being loaded with hundreds of others, knowing you're going to be killed at the end of transit? Start asking questions, start answering. #BanLiveExport #AnimalsAustralia #Compassion #Kindness #LoveCows #FriendsNotFood #StopAdGag @animalsaustralia
