its me! the local conceptkin, i was wondering if i could request a laptop wallpaper for storms? specifically rain, thunder, and snow storms, maybe with some imagery of a landscape after a storm, and no symbols please

#lightning and thunder and showers– oh my!#stormkin

Anyway, I'm gonna yap about our kintypes now! :3

The first thing we've identified as is some sort of shadow being (thus our system name), which I guess could also be called shadowkin (which we've seen others use as a term). (We could also add nightkin and voidkin here, as they fit as well.) For us it's just more that we're not really a shadow ourself but more connected to shadows and darkness and the night and just part of it in a way. And we're not creepy or a monster or a cryptid or anything like that. That doesn't feel like us. (Not that anything is wrong with that, just wanted to make sure that y'all get the right idea of what we are.)

We're also shapeshifterkin. Which is also quite connected to us being a shadow being. We even once had an OC that was a shapeshifter and basically made of shadows (it had one glowing red eye and was thus called Sauron :3), so that tracks, I guess. Being a shapeshifter also connects to our plurality and in general the inconsistencies in our identity and our mood and everything else that we experience. And we have so many kintypes that are all very vague and don't have a concrete form, so shapeshifting is kind of an inherent part of them.

Spacekin is another kintype, once again very much connected to being shadowkin. For us it's mostly about the darkness and expanse of space, but also about how removed it is from humanity and how so much of it is unknown and won't ever be fully understood. It also has something divine and, well, celestial about it. We've always found space to be fascinating and felt a connection to it. It feels a bit like home.

Divinekin/Celestialkin/Godkin (we're putting them together here, because they're very similar or closely related (for us at least)) also seem to be kintypes of us. They're mostly there because of our other kintypes like shadowkin and spacekin (and also the others we'll mention later), as these are all kinda abstract and vague things that are far from being human. And we feel like some cosmic entity, which feels very similar to being a god or something like that. We feel like we're (or rather should be, I guess) all-powerful and have control over nature and space; we feel all-encompassing and as old as time itself. That makes us rather god-like. And I'd say the NPD (which we suspect we have) also plays a role.

We're also skykin, which is connected to being spacekin and some other kintypes (and probably also divinekin/godkin/celestialkin).

We've been thinking about being angelkin but I think it's more that we might have wings (while being human(oid)). That's something we're still considering.

One of our kintypes is the concept of space (and by that we don't mean space in the astronomical sense, but just the regular way it's used). Emptiness too.

We're stormkin (mostly thunderstorms) and perhaps rainkin and cloudkin. We've always loved thunderstorms and have felt so at home and so happy and at peace whenever we were outside while one was happening. There's more to this but I'm having trouble finding the right words right now.

In a way we may also be alienkin, since we are also an entity that comes from outside of this world, but that terms doesn't particularly resonate with us. Especially considering we encompass so many other things, some of which are closely connected to this world (for us).

We're also some sort of spiritkin (we're not a ghost though, as we're not the spirit of someone who died). This is mainly because we consider ourself some sort of incorporeal identity, for which spirit seems like a good term. Also something along the lines of a nature spirit.

We also feel very connected to the classical elements (so fire, water, air/wind, earth) in a kin sort of way. Both as in being those and controlling them (which may be why we love the bending in Avatar so much!).

(We may also be a fictionkin of Loki but we're not sure yet. It could also be a hearttype. At least one of us may also be a fictionkin of Jax from TADC, but again we're not really sure.)

Anyway, there's probably more but they're hard to pin down.

All of our kintypes are very interconnected and relate to each other in various ways. They're honestly more a way for us to describe one thing than really being multiple distinct things. We're just an entity that is all of these things.

I'd also like to add that we're human too (kind of in an Alterhuman way though). The form we take in our mind is usually human(oid) and we feel most comfortable in that form. We're also very connected to humanity in a way that may be us being the kind of god-like entity we are, as we find humanity very interesting and like to study and observe it (for example by reading about human history and cultures). We find humans very endearing at times (though usually not the ones we meet, sadly) and have an urge to protect them. So please don't mention hating humans around us, if you can help it. We can somewhat understand where the feeling comes from but we feel immensely uncomfortable whenever we encounter someone talking about it.

All of these kintypes are related and connected to so many other aspects of ourself, too. And we've felt them as long as we can remember. There are a lot of OCs and stories/poems that we've written that relate to our kintypes without us knowing at the time. They've always been there. We've always been like this.
